Development and delivery of the design by Ben Pentreath was from Stage 3 to completion.
The design was inspired by the Soane Stable Block in the neighbouring Royal Hospital, signature arches are a sleek, contemporary take that anchors the development resolutely in the 21st century. The brickwork is a ‘tour de force’ of technical performance and design precision, a testimony that traditional masonry skills are very much still alive.
A new restaurant, The Campaner, has recently opened, offering all day dining from Barcelona.
Brick Awards winner of the Contractors Choice category and Craftsmanship category.
Projects completed for the Chelsea Barracks site include the design and execution of 13 townhouses, complete refurbishment of the Grade II listed Garrison Chapel and execution of a private mews house concept design by Ben Pentreath and William Smalley.
