Architecturally, the starting point for the building is the retained façade facing onto the square with new build extending behind, above and linking to the side. The large open plan ground floor is occupied by a local delicatessen and café with offices above accessed from a central covered courtyard that links in with the glazed entrance lobby.
The palette of materials used takes precedent from surrounding buildings on the campus: yellow stock brickwork, Portland stone and timber sash windows are complemented by large areas of glazing, fine lead roofs and contemporary interiors.
