Located within a conservation area, the surroundings provided a rich context. This led to the strong palette of materials which to the connects with the adjacent Grade 1 listed church. The building arrangement is planned around a central, glass covered courtyard, and includes a landscaped roof garden accessible to all residents.

The building generates its heating and hot water from CHP, is super insulated and inherently airtight, employing mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and generates its own electricity by way of PV cells on the fifth floor roof. It achieves Code 4 for Sustainable Homes and was procured as a D&B project.
