Redevelopment of an existing residential tower in the heart of Roppongi, Tokyo. The renovation works included the building facade, entrance, landscape and the re-planning and interior design of the common areas and apartments.

A key challenge was to rationalise the existing spaces in order to create one cohesive experience for residents.

Breaking away from traditional layouts, sections of the building were joined to create flow from one to another. This gives the building a much greater sense of a single, distinct identity, and ties the project together in a graceful way.

Internally, the Westminster Roppongi is designed as a warm, harmonious space maintaining a Japanese sensibility with a modern twist.
