Innovative re-build of a complete city block on one of London’s finest Georgian streets

The recently completed Queen Anne’s Gate is an innovative blend of old and new. Successfully combining heritage and contemporary to produce classic, new build apartments in one of London's most iconic locations. With its key Georgian features, Queen Anne's Gate holds on to its heritage, making for a unique scheme paying great attention to design whilst still mirroring a modern mix of scale and materiality.

This new-build scheme retains a Grade II listed façade and features 27 apartments which range from one to three bedrooms, a penthouse and 12 affordable homes. Over 9,000 sqm of residential is created under permitted development from the previous 6,000 sqm of poor-quality office space.

The buildings appear as a series of townhouses fitting with the local area utilising a blend of red brick façade and multi-stock bricks on others with London Stocks used to face the block of affordable units stitching the original 12 plots together.

The project was recently featured in Architects’ Journal and the Evening Standard.
